Soft Wax Explained
The first difference is that soft wax comes in a liquid form. Beauty bars that use soft wax will simply place the can of liquid wax in a warmer to get the wax nice and hot before it is applied. Then, the wax is spread on the areas where the hair is going to be removed. Soft wax is much thinner than hard wax because it is applied thinner. If you apply soft wax too thickly, it’s going to be a nightmare to get off!
Another point that must be considered about soft wax is that it is applied directly to the skin. Therefore, you cannot go over the same area more than once with soft wax. Going over the same area more than once poses a risk of lifting skin.
Hard Wax Explained

Hard wax is melted the same as soft wax, but the hard wax is much thicker. Unlike soft wax, hard wax only adheres to hair. It does not adhere to the skin.
