How to Prepare for Your Brazilian Wax
- Let hair grow to at least ¼ inch (the size of a grain of rice) — typically 2 to 4 weeks from your last shave. Without enough length the wax cannot grip effectively.
- Exfoliate gently 24 to 48 hours before your appointment — not the day of. This helps clear follicle openings for better wax adhesion.
- Shower the day of your appointment so your skin is clean.
- Do NOT apply lotion, oil, or sunscreen on the day of — they create a barrier between the wax and the hair.
- Wear loose, comfortable clothing and underwear to your appointment for comfort afterward.
- Skip caffeine if you can before your appointment — it can increase skin sensitivity.
